Anthony Edwards is expanding his adidas partnership into a sketch comedy series. The Minnesota Timberwolves star’s debut episode of MINNATLANTASOTA went live on adidas Basketball’s social channels, building on the “Believe That.” campaign that first introduced his comedic persona for the brand.

Instead of a single ad push, adidas is releasing new MINNATLANTASOTA episodes throughout the 2026–27 NBA season, with appearances from other adidas athletes and comedians. The debut episode features Edwards delivering old-school roasts aimed at some of the league’s biggest names, with his adidas footwear worked into the storyline.

“They always said your commercials are like TV shows, so I went and made one,” Edwards said.

MINNATLANTASOTA adds to a growing media and business portfolio Edwards has built off the court. Beyond adidas, he holds endorsement deals with Sprite and Panini America, and he’s also invested in real estate, as Blavity reported. He’s also the lead of Serious Business with Anthony Edwards, a Prime Video series that premiered in 2026 and features him challenging athletes and celebrities in non-basketball competitions.

The show’s launch lines up with the release of the Anthony Edwards 3, Edwards’ third signature shoe with adidas, dropping this week in a “Cold Blooded” colorway. In a promo for the series cited by ClutchPoints, Edwards described the show as bringing “the raw and unfiltered truth” in contrast to typical athlete commercials.

Edwards was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft and has helped lead the Timberwolves to two Western Conference Finals appearances in six seasons. He posted a career-high 28.8 points per game last season, according to ClutchPoints.

Additional episodes and appearances from comedians and other adidas athletes are planned for the rest of the season. The first MINNATLANTASOTA film is live now on adidas Basketball’s social channels.
