A$AP Rocky is the latest Hip Hop figure to cash in on the non-fungible token  (NFT) game.

This past weekend, the Harlem rapper announced the official debut of his first-ever NFT collection, which will be made available through Nifty Gateway.

According to Complex, a promo video released by the AWGE Shopping Network shared that the collection will consist of “select pieces” and include a snippet of a song called “Sandman,” an unreleased track Rocky previously teased during 2021 Yams Day.

Additionally, the new collection will also give fans who purchase merchandise a chance to be entered into a raffle for prizes. Each purchase is a ticket to either win one of Rocky’s vehicles from his Injured Generation Tour or a studio visit to listen to his upcoming album.

A$AP Rocky has always been considered an experimental artist, so his decision to dive headfirst into the world of NFTs and cryptocurrency was nothing unexpected.

Like many other artists who are getting hip to NFTs, Rocky is leaning on this exclusive form of cryptocurrency to emphasize artists’ ownership over their own work.

His forthcoming album, presumably titled “All $miles,” could also find a place in Rocky’s newly-founded NFT collection, which many fans will likely tune into.

Prior to the announcement of his debut NFT collection, Rocky seemingly endorsed the new buzzy cryptocurrency last month in the form of a tweet that responded to the question, “What’s This Krypto Currency Business About? Please Explain,” a Twitter user asked.

Other artists who have already sold NFTs include Curren$y, Jeezy, Soulja Boy, Quavo, Jack Harlow, Lil Pump and Azealia Banks to name a few.

Though the future is still unclear, it’s quite possible that NFTs may be finding a permanent place in the Hip Hop landscape moving forward.

A$AP Rocky’s NFT collection is set to release on Nifty Gateway’s website at 7 p.m. ET on April 21.
