Niles Fitch is known for his role in the hit show “This Is Us” where he makes appearances as the teenage version of Randall Pearson, played by Sterling K. Brown. Now the budding actor has made history by becoming Disney’s first-ever Black live-action prince in the upcoming film, “Secret Society of Second-Born Royals.”

Fitch took to Twitter to announce his historical role.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Fitch will play the role of the charismatic and self-centered Prince Tuma who is drafted into a group of second-born royals. He will possess superpowers and is charged with the task of keeping the world safe.

Starring alongside Fitch is Peyton Elizabeth Lee who plays Sam, a teen living in the shadow of her older sister Princess Eleanor (Ashley Liao). However, Sam isn’t your ordinary Disney princess. In fact, she doesn’t want to be a princess at all.

“Sam is going to be a unique addition to the Disney princess family because she doesn’t want to be a princess, she doesn’t want to be royalty,” Lee told Entertainment Weekly.

The pair will also be joined by Skylar Astin, who will play Professor James Morrow. Prof. Morrow will lead and teach the class of second-born superheroes to hone their potential on their quest to save the world.

The sci-fi fantasy film is set to stream on Disney+ streaming this summer.
