Social networks have quickly become our saving grace in the pandemic during a time where people are trying their best to stay connected while safely social distancing.

For communities all over, mainly the BIPOC community, a tech company has launched a new social media platform with an overarching goal to unify people during this hectic time.

RepItSocial, which is the same name as the tech company, is a revolutionary social media app that is poised to become the central hub for all things BIPOC, according to a press release.

RepItSocial — developed by co-founders D’Oyen and Azalaya Fraser, and former BET Networks president Jefferi K. Lee — is described as “the new face of social media that represents the voice, energy and true diversity of this new generation. It is the premium platform for entertainment, empowerment and unification of all things BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color),” a press release shares.

Similar to the melting pot that is America, RepItSocial is meant to represent the country’s true identity and celebrate its uniquely diverse populations.

“BIPOC isn’t just a group of people, it’s a movement, an awakening across the globe that we are more powerful together,” said Lee in a statement. “And now with Kamala Harris, the first woman of color as VP Elect, the timing is ripe for a new kind of social network – one that acknowledges the shared experiences, lifestyle and culture of BIPOC.”

As a people of color-founded platform, RepItSocial is set to be the next big thing to show society just how many innovations BIPOC offer society as a whole.

“This social media network embodies the fresh mindset, voice, and energy of this new generation,” D’Oyen said in a press statement. “It will be a tool for us to connect, to celebrate our accomplishments and share our incredible talents. We don’t say it. We REP IT!”
