Celebrities supporting Black businesses during this time are helping to lead the charge for others to support Black economics as well.

Gia Casey — podcast host and wife of Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club’s DJ Envy — is doing her part to help the cause with a special gift to her husband to encourage Black investments.

For his birthday, Casey presented her husband with stake in Positivity Alkaline Water LLC — a Black-owned bottled water company based in Atlanta — to encourage healthier lifestyles while also making a lasting impact in their community, Black Business reports.

“There are plenty of material gifts you can give your significant other that last for a moment, but I wanted to give a gift that lasts a lifetime, not just economically but socially in supporting black owned businesses,” Casey told Black Business. “We support what Positivity Alkaline Water has done for the community, and our investment represents a legacy for my husband and our family. Besides, it tastes great!”

Positivity Alkaline Water is a subsidiary of StarWalker Industries — a minority-owned bottled water manufacturing and distribution company — founded by mechanical engineer and Atlanta Business Attorney David M. Walker, Esq.

According to Black Business, the water brand has a mission to prioritize positivity and promote healthy living stating “each sip of Positivity is created to refresh your outlook on life, restore your body and renew your mind.”

Walker and his company were excited to share the news of their new partnership in a statement saying:

DJ Envy is well known for his advocacy and commitment to his community in addition to using his large platform to hold important conversations about what our country is facing currently.

He and his wife also co-host a podcast together called The Casey Crew, where they hold open dialogues about their own experiences, speak with celebrity couples, and offer advice to others.

The Caseys’ stake in Positivity Alkaline Water shows the importance of backing Black-led businesses as investors and will ultimately help the water brand achieve its mission to spread positivity through healthier lifestyles.
