Five-year-old Justyn Boumah is many things—chef, world traveler, entrepreneur, and kid author. However, most importantly, he’s an advocate for good causes.

The Las Vegas native is hosting the annual “Around the World” Read-a-Thon to celebrate National Young Readers Week and raise $2,000 for homeless and foster kids, reports PRNewswire.

Funded through a GoFundMe campaign, the donations will be directed to Books and Ballet, CRN Eglise Centrale, and Project 150.

In addition to raising money, Boumah is partnering with young readers from Africa, the Caribbean, the Middle East, and North America—at home, in homeschool groups, and classrooms. The goal is to meet book-reading goals and spread awareness of literacy among children and families.

“I am so excited to read, play, and see my friends,” Boumah said in a statement. “My momma and I rallied readers around the world using social media … Since I am five-years-old, I am asking my friends to give 5 bucks (500 pennies).”

The three-day event will kick off with a socially-distanced kiddie drive-in held on Nov. 8-10 in a local park.
