Apple’s newest products have taken the internet by storm. The company revealed a new credit card, Apple Arcade, an updated Apple TV and more at its keynote event yesterday.

Apple announced further details into a multi-year deal with Oprah Winfrey at the star-studded event. Back in June, the company said it would be working with Oprah “as part of a lineup of original content.”

Now we know that lineup includes “Toxic Labor,” a documentary focused on the impacts of sexual harassment at work and another multi-part documentary centered on mental health.

Apple is one of the latest companies to dive into streaming services. Disney has taken steps to start pulling its content from Netflix, ahead of building its own streaming platform as well.

Streaming services beat out cable for the first time in 2018, according to The Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA). Subscriptions to streaming services reached 613 million, a 27 percent increase from the previous year.

Oprah’s success on cable television with her network OWN and once-popular daytime talk show could prove advantageous with her Apple partnership. Winfrey will also be releasing a new version of her book club with the company.

“I want to reach that sweet spot where insight and perspective, truth and tolerance, actually intersect,” Winfrey said onstage at Apple’s event.

It’s no secret that Oprah and Apple’s relationship has been building over the last few months. In November, Winfrey became one of the many faces of Apple’s #BehindTheMac campaign.
