Does Elon Musk want the little kiddie toy, too? The real-life Marvel villain — who would like to implant microchips in humans’ brains sometime this year — has promised to eat a Happy Meal if McDonald’s will accept Dogecoin as payment. And, as is typical of him, Musk promised to eat the kiddie treat live on national television (Do you suppose he likes the hamburgers or the Chicken Nuggets? And will he want sliced apples or French fries?) According to Business Insider, Elon Musk made this declaration after McDonald’s announced its huge crypto selloff. Further speculation about McDonald’s willingness to accept Dogecoin sprouted up when Shibetoshi Nakamoto, the creator of Dogecoin, tweeted at McDonald’s, and the company responded by posting a photo of a Shiba Inu eating a French fry. pic.twitter.com/RvLwLJABv6 — McDonald's (@McDonalds) January 19, 2022 As devotees of Elon Musk are aware, the Tesla CEO and founder is a huge proponent of the digital coin. A teen from Chesapeake, VA is helping his community one lawn at a time. In 2020, 13-year-old Phoenix Brown partook in the 50-yard challenge, Good Morning America reports. The cause is through Raising Men & Women Lawn Care Service created by Rodney Smith. The challenge encourages boys and girls between the ages of seven and 17 to cut 50 lawns of grass for the elderly, disabled, single parents, veterans, and those in need without cost. “This program really has helped him to build confidence,” Phoenix’s mother Joycelene Tetteh said, according to WAVY news. “I think it has helped with his communication skills, his ability to network; all of those things matter in life.” Phoenix Brown originally had plans to build a computer last summer but after his father, Sheldon Brown, presented the challenge to him, he switched gears to help out his community. Phoenix Brown not only joined the challenge but he surpassed its expectations completing a challenge that typically takes participants up to...
In efforts to “diversify” the workroom, some companies are hiding behind the gaze of inclusion in hopes of finding a token to enhance their agendas. Joseph B. Hill, a Black Chief Diversity Officer with over 20 years of experience, accepted a new position to serve at Memorial Hermann Health System in the city of Houston as the Vice President, Chief Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Officer. To prepare for a relocation and help Hill find the right home, a real estate agent contracted by Memorial Hermann was hired. Hill noted red flags from the agent as he recalled “unconscious racial bias” being exhibited from the white realtor such as bringing light to a Black-owned clothing store and commenting, “One of those stores over there is owned by a rapper; I don’t know those guys.” Hill also recalled the agent presenting a public golf course as “someplace where you would play,” to wittingly imply he was not welcomed at a private club. Hill, uncomfortable due to the microaggressions, presented...
