Dennis Rodman's 2024 Net Worth Doesn't Reflect It, But He's The Most Fascinating Man On Earth

Dennis Rodman is likely best known for his prolific career with the NBA , showcasing incredible defensive abilities during his 20-year tenure on the court. However, the retired basketball star has gone on to exhibit a host of eccentric accolades in his 62 years on Earth, making him one of the most interesting humans to ever live. Today, Dennis Rodman touts a paltry net worth of only $500,000 according to Watcher Guru , in spite of his multi-million dollar legacy. Rodman sits at this figure for a number of reasons, most notably due to a number of shady business deals that saw his long-time financial advisor embezzling millions from his personal fortune. Despite Dennis Rodman’s lower-than-expected net worth, the retired basketball legend seems to be living comfortably today, and has tons of social credit to fall back on in case he needs additional financial security. Why Jade Kearney Founded A Platform To Connect Black Women With Culturally Competent Healthcare Professionals

Jade Kearney is placing Black women at the forefront of mental health and wellness. As the CEO of She Matters, Kearney created the digital health platform to ensure Black women and women of color find the support they need. Kearney hopes to provide women the assistance she failed to receive following the birth of her daughter while working to complete her second master’s at New York University. “When I had postpartum, I was feeling the cultural norms of suffering in silence and I was invisible to the healthcare system. I experienced a lot of cultural stigma around mental illness and when it came to healthcare professionals or healthcare networks, I didn’t have any of them making the connection between what I had gone through physically while giving birth, which was preeclampsia and hemorrhage,” Kearney told AfroTech exclusively.

Yes, Jay-Z Made History As Hip-Hop's First Billionaire — But How'd He Get There?

Jay-Z is more than just a rapper. Just a quick perusal through all of his work that we here at AfroTech have reported on alone is indicative of a man that has earned every penny of his $1.4 billion net worth. He is one of the only men in Hip-Hop (outside of, most notably, Kanye West) to achieve a billion-dollar net worth and was the first rapper in history to do so. Jay-Z is also one of the world’s few Black billionaires. Even in years that he doesn’t release music or go on tour, Jay-Z is good for about $500 million a year, by one estimate. And this is to say nothing of how his marriage to fellow icon Beyoncé has also increased his net worth. In short, when it comes to money moves, S-Dot-Carter is second-to-none. But more than investing in businesses, Jay-Z has also invested in Black-owned businesses. Crunchbase reports that Marcy Venture Partners, founded in 2019, is a venture capital firm that has invested in 24 companies — 11 of which are considered “diversity investments.” The...

The Blueprint: A List Of Jay-Z's Investments Into Black-Owned Companies Over The Years

In response to the age-old question, “$500,000 or dinner with Jay-Z,” we’re here to save you some money. The man born Shawn Carter probably won’t be sitting down for dinner anytime soon with any of you, but he’s definitely laid out his business moves in black and white for your edification. You might even say he left people “The Blueprint” to his success. Back in 2010, Warren Buffett sat down with a young Jay-Z and walked away impressed with the up-and-comer’s commitment to success. “Jay is teaching in a lot bigger classroom than I’ll ever teach in. For a young person growing up, he’s the guy to learn from,” said the billionaire to Forbes Magazine. Buffett’s predictions proved correct. Today, Hova is one of the few Hip-Hop billionaires on the planet today, with an estimated net worth of $1.4 billion. Even in years that he doesn’t release music or go on tour, Jay-Z is good for about $500 million a year, by one estimate. And this is to say nothing of how his marriage to fellow icon...

My HPE Journey: Working for a Major Technology Company as a Young Minority

Since I was a teenager, I always dreamed of working on the cutting edge of technology. I wanted an exciting career path that would allow me to explore the world’s fastest-growing industry and grow as a professional. Luckily, I found that and more at HPE. My career with Hewlett Packard Enterprise started in May 2012 at age 18. I just finished my freshman year of college at Prairie View A&M University, a Historically Black College, located 45 minutes outside of Houston, TX. I attended a conference for NSBE (National Society of Black Engineers) and landed my first technical internship as a Consumer Notebook Test Intern. As a young minority, working for one of the world’s largest technology vendors was initially intimidating. I was the youngest person on a team of middle-aged, seasoned professionals. In addition, I was the only person in my family who worked in corporate America, let alone the IT field. With this in the back of my mind, I wondered how I would be perceived by my team and...
