Triller, the app that is best known for working with the likes of Eminem and the VERZUZ brand, has announced a new equity program for Black creators. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the app has launched a funding program that will provide Black creators posting on the app $2,000 in cash and $2,000 in company equity per month. The contracts with the creators begin on Jan. 1, and participants are required to sign a one-year contract with the app to qualify for the payments. Triller is on a mission to add more sports content to its video network platform — starting with rapper Ice Cube and his Big3 basketball league. According to CNBC, Cube inked an agreement for a joint venture with the social media company in which Triller will host his league’s first all-star game, its draft, and also feature 30 hours of live games from its 2021 season. In an announcement on Tuesday (Dec. 1), the legendary rapper revealed that he will partner with Triller — the entertainment and music platform responsible for putting on Saturday night’s fight — to create a new boxing league called The Fight Club, per ESPN. The new league will have multiple events per year and it’s only right that Snoop Dogg will be the announcer and host.
