Transcending her experience as a childhood star on Disney Channel, Zendaya is now a force in Hollywood. This can be credited partially to her forging her own path in fashion with the help of Law Roach and diversifying her roles, through HBO’s “Euphoria” — which landed her two Emmys for her role as Rue Bennett — and the big screen’s “Dune” and “Spider-Man” franchises, per Variety. Now, Zendaya is on to her next project, “Challengers,” directed by Luca Guadagnino, which was released on April 26, 2024. Unlike the aforementioned roles, the actress has the opportunity to move beyond portraying a teenager on screen and takes on Tashi Duncan, an adult character who plays tennis and winds up in a love triangle, according to People. “I’ve been playing 16-year-olds since I was 16,” Zendaya, 27, told Variety. “So it was nice to play a character that was not a child anymore. It was also interesting playing parts of my life that I haven’t experienced yet: I’ve not gotten married. I’ve not had a...
Zendaya has been building her net worth since she was a child. However, being a child star comes with its fair share of challenges, like taking care of your family financially. In 2010, Zendaya starred in Disney Channel’s TV series “Shake It Up” as Rocky Blue. After three seasons, the breakout role led Zendaya to stay within the Disney Channel franchise in TV shows and films such as “K.C. Undercover,” “Frenemies,” and “Zapped.” Building her work resume early on resulted in Zendaya co-starring in the film “Spider-Man: Homecoming,” based on Marvel Comics, and landing the leading role in HBO nextwork’s teen drama series “Euphoria,” for which she won two Emmys and one Golden Globe for her portrayal of Rue Bennett. While Zendaya has risen in stardom since her Disney Channel days, she is now beginning to further reflect on how her time as a child star impacted her. During her May 2024 cover story interview with Vogue, the 27-year-old shared how having the most income in her household at a...

Despite this, Black actresses have been able to break through glass ceilings in the face of a global pandemic and continue to build impressive discographies and net worths. Quibi has had a few obstacles ahead of its April 6 launch. However, a partnership with Drake is not one of them. According to The Hollywood Reporter , the short-form streaming service recently greenlit “The 48 Laws of Power,” a series based on the best-selling nonfiction book by Robert Greene. The rapper will executive produce the forthcoming project and put on his director’s hat for at least one episode. If you’re unfamiliar with the 1998 book, simply scour the lyrics of hip hop greats for references, from Kanye West to Jay-Z. As a hip hop favorite, Greene’s work outlines the principles of success and power, which will be depicted in each episode of the Quibi series. Furthermore, “The 48 Laws of Power” is not Drake’s first venture into film and television. Alongside partner, Adel “Future” Nur, Drake established Dreamcrew , an entertainment management and production company that currently produces HBO’s “Euphoria,” starring Zendaya.
