Milton H. Jones Jr. Becomes First Black Man to Be Elected Chair of the United Negro College Fund Board

The UNCF (United Negro College Fund) has made history, today, with the naming of Milton H. Jones, Jr. as the Chair of the Board of Directors. In a press release announcement, it was revealed that Jones — an Atlanta businessman known for his work with Peachtree Providence Partners, as well as a longtime civic leader — is the first Black man to hold the position of Chair of the Board of Directors. Jones succeeds longtime UNCF Board of Directors chair William F. CVS Health Foundation, UNCF Establishes $5M College Scholarship For Black Students Going Into Healthcare

CVS Health is following through with its commitment to social justice and racial equity in America with its latest educational initiative. Last week, CVS Health Foundation announced the launch of a five-year, $5 million scholarship program in collaboration with the United Negro College Fund (UNCF) — the nation’s largest minority education organization advocating for minority education — to help Black and brown college students pursue an academic career in healthcare.
