Pharrell Williams is in his restaurant bag. According to World Red Eye News, the award-winning producer and creative has partnered with Launchpad Hospitality Group to debut Nami Nori and Matsuyoi, two Japanese restaurants he collaborated on, in Miami’s Design District. Nami Nori blends effortlessly with its Miami setting, showcasing beachy vibes, airy interiors, and a menu of standout temaki rolls like X.O. scallops and spicy crab dynamite. Matsuyoi, on the other hand, offers a more intimate and moody dining experience. It features a seasonal multi-course menu focusing on temaki. The restaurants will eventually make their way to Williams’ hometown of Virginia Beach, VA, WRE News reported. Several Black women-owned businesses are making their way to JFK airport. According to TRBusiness, six small, women-owned businesses based in New York will now have a new home at Terminal 8 (T8) due to a $125 million redevelopment program. They were selected through an accelerator program launched by Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) Airports. Michigan Black Business Alliance Opens New Hub In Downtown Michigan To Support Entrepreneurs

The Michigan Black Business Alliance has opened a new hub to empower more entrepreneurs and drive economic equity. According to Crain’s Detroit Business, the organization — which focuses on closing the racial wealth gap through access to capital, networking opportunities, and advocacy — is expanding its reach. Since its inception in 2021, the alliance has grown its network from 250 to 1,800 members. “We’re still growing, and our members all have different needs,” Charity Dean, CEO of the Michigan Black Business Alliance, told the outlet. “We did a survey of our members in 2022, and some wanted a commercial kitchen and space for pop-ups. Google has allocated a grant to support artificial intelligence learning at an HBCU. The nation’s first HBCU AI Institute is coming to NC Central University. CBS17 reports the university will open the Institute for Artificial Intelligence and Equity Research.
