Matt Cuff’s Cincinnati, OH, barbecue establishment boasts official recognition from President Joe Biden.
In 2023, Just Q’in received a visit from President Biden, who was served The Goliath, a one-pound brisket plate with sides including macaroni and cheese, potato salad, and jalapeño cornbread, according to WCPO 9 News.
President Biden also raved about their peach cobbler and could not resist mentioning how great the food was on his way back to the White House.
“He ate the peach cobbler here,” explained Cuff, according to Spectrum News 1. “He loved the peach cobbler and then after the fact I was in communication with people from the White House and they just said he raved about the food all the way back to D.C.”
Biden’s surprise visit was at Just Q’in’s location on 975 E. McMillan St. in Walnut Hills, which was Cuff’s primary location at the time since the closing of his Newtown restaurant in 2019.
Now, Cuff is preparing to bring that manifestation to fruition with the opening of Just Q’in’s newest location in College Hill’s Business District. The grand opening was held on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024.
